Shooting Association of Slovenia

The Shooting Federation of Slovenia (SZS) is a national branch sports federation in the field of shooting sports, affiliated to the Olympic Committee of Slovenia - Association of Sports Federations. SZS is a member of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), the European Shooting Confederation (ESC) and the International Archery Union (IAU). 113 shooting associations and clubs with just over 2100 registered competitors are members of the Federation, and they all have in common that they practice shooting disciplines according to the rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation.

In the following tabs and links, the SZS is presented with its bodies and representatives in international organisations, the division into shooting regions and a list of associations by region, a list of licensed referees and coaches. In the “Licence” tab there is a list of competitors with a competition licence for the current year and attached BIB numbers for competitors. The “Categorization” tab contains information about the categorized athletes and a link to the OKS with the entered results of the athletes achieved during the competition season.

It also presents history of shooting in Slovenia, which mentions a society of Ljubljana sharpshooters as early as 1562. Another important anniversary is 9.5.1948 when the Shooting Association of Slovenia was founded and of course the events after 1991. The SZS as Signatory to the Constitutive Act became a member of the OKS and one of the first sports federations to become a member of the UIT (now ISSF) and the ESC.
