The Slovenian junior rifle shooting team, under 18, composed of Cipot Patrik, Slak Timotej, Kužnik Lana and Potrč Tara, and the pistol shooting team, composed of Fras Miha, Hajdinjak Matjaž, Jovanović Taja and Kozmelj Eva, participated in the European Youth League qualifiers from April 9th to 11th, organised by the European Shooting Confederation in Budapest.
The air rifle shooters competed alongside four other countries from the Western region: Italy, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Throughout the competition, they accumulated enough points to rank third, qualifying them for the final which will take place by the Baltic Sea in Jūrmala in Latvia or 21-25 October 2026
Air pistol shooters competed against Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Spain. Despite good performances, they unfortunately didn't manage to reach the final.
At the competition in Budapest, rifle shooters were accompanied by coach Tomaž Kužnik, and pistol shooters by coach Bojan Fras.
We are proud of all our young shooters, as their performances demonstrate a high degree of discipline, perseverance and fighting spirit.
