On 11 December 2025, the Slovenian Shooting Association presented awards to the best male and female shooters in Thermana Laško.
Senior Girl: GALINA REMC REPIČ, SD OLIMPIJA
In the U11, U13, and U15 girls' categories, Galina Remč Repič receives the award.
Galina Remc Repič is a young shooter, winner of the 2024/2025 season in the youth national league in the air rifle discipline for the older girls category, and also the current national champion. At the national 50m championship, she achieved 5th place in the 50m prone discipline in the senior category, and 4th place in the 50m three-position discipline.

Older boy: MATJAŽ LIPOVŠEK, SD DUŠAN POŽENEL REČICA PRI Laško
In the boys' U11, U13, and U15 categories, Matjaž Lipovšek receives the award.
Matjaž is a young marksman, the winner of the 2024/2025 season of the youth state league with an air rifle in the older boys' category. At the national championship 10m, he won a silver medal, and together with his two club teammates, they achieved team gold. He also took home medals from the 50m national championship, becoming the winner in the 50m prone discipline. With the team, they won gold, and in the three-position discipline, he shot his way to a bronze medal, also contributing to the team's national record.

In the cadet category, the award goes to Lana Kužnik.
This year, Lana Kužnik competed at the U16 and U18 European Championships in Tallinn, where she achieved an excellent 7th place with the air rifle. In the 2024/2025 season, she secured 2nd place overall in the Youth National League among cadets. She became the national champion among cadets at the 10m National Championship. At the 50m National Championship, she won a silver medal in the prone discipline and the national champion title in the three-position discipline. In a duet with Maksimilijan Žarić, she won silver in the air rifle duet at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje. She was a member of the air rifle team that won the European Youth League title.

In the cadets category, the award goes to Miha Fras.
Winner of the U20 National League for the 2024/2025 season in the junior cadets discipline. He won a bronze medal at the National Air Weapon Championship. At the 50m National Championship, he won the national champion title in the pistol discipline. He also excelled at the 25m National Championship, where he secured two gold medals, in the standard pistol discipline and in the sport pistol discipline.

Young woman: MANJA SLAK, SD GORENJA VAS
In the junior women's category, the award goes to Manja Slak.
Manja Slak is an excellent young shooter who competes with the best, even in senior categories. In 2025, we received information that she became world champion at the World Junior Championships in Lima. She also started 2025 excellently with a victory in the senior category at the ISSF Grand Prix in Ruše. She also became the winner of the national junior league among female juniors with an air pistol and the national champion at the National Championships with a 10m air weapon. She also competed in the national 1st A league with an air pistol, where she also took gold in the overall standings for the 2024/2025 season. She also shone at international competitions.

In the youth category, the award goes to Gal Potrč.
In 2025, Gal Potrč became the European champion and holder of a new European record at the U16–U18 European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. He won a silver medal in the junior category with an air rifle in the overall standings for the 2024/2025 season. At the national air rifle 10m championship, he became national champion in the mixed pairs discipline with his club teammate, and also national team champion, while securing the national runner-up title in the individual competition. At the national 50m championship, he became national champion in the 50m rifle three positions discipline as well as in the 50m rifle prone discipline. In 2025, he set a new national record with the 50m rifle three positions and was part of the team that set a national record with the 10m air rifle as well as the 50m rifle.

Youth Player: MAKSIMILIJAN ŽARIĆ, SD OLIMPIJA
In the junior category, the award goes to Maksimilijan Žarić.
Summer began with a victory in the junior air rifle at the ISSF Grand Prix in Ruše. Maksimilijan Žarić won a bronze medal at the U16-U18 European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. He secured first place in the overall standings for the 2024/2025 season in the junior air rifle category. Additionally, he won a gold medal at the national air weapon championship (10m). At the European Youth Olympic Festival in July in Skopje, he surprised with a silver medal in the individual competition, and won another in a duet with his national teammate. At the national 50m championships, he earned a bronze medal in the 50m rifle prone event and a silver medal in the 50m rifle three-position event. He also holds new national records in both the air weapon discipline and the 50m weapon disciplines.

In the senior category, the award goes to Urška Kuharič.
Winner of the 2024/2025 season overall in the 1. A State League with an air rifle. Also, the individual winner of the Slovenian Champions Trophy in the air rifle discipline. 7th place at the National Championship in 10m air rifle shooting. National champion at the National Championship 50m in the 50m rifle prone discipline, also winner of the 50m rifle three positions discipline. She won 4th place at the European Championship 25m, 50m, and 300m in Chateauroux, France, in the 300m rifle three positions discipline.

At the national mixed pairs competition, he won the title of national champions with his club colleague using an air rifle among the senior men. He achieved 5th place in the overall standings of the 2024/2025 season in the 1st A national league with an air rifle. Among the senior men, he won the title of national champion at the national air weapon championship. At the national 50m championship, he won a bronze medal in the 50m rifle prone discipline, and became the national champion in the 50m rifle three positions discipline with a new national record.

Winner of the Grand Prix Slovenia in Olympic trap and the Grand Prix Fiocchi in Novigrad, Croatia. He also competed successfully in the Slovenian Cup in trap and the trap league final, at the national trap championship and at the Grand Prix Beretta in Novigrad.

Shooting Association DUŠAN POŽENEL REČICA PRI LAŠKEM
The Dušan Poženel Rečica pri Laškem Shooting Club also wrote a successful story in 2025. In the overall standings for the Slovenian Air Weapon Cup 2024–2025 season, they achieved 3rd place. They were in first place based on the value of medals won at the 10 m National Air Weapon Championship, in second place at the 50 m National Championship, and in first place by the number of medals won at the 25 m National Championship. Furthermore, in 2025, they also successfully organised the international Lapua European Cup competition under the auspices of the European Shooting Confederation.
