Žarić travels to the ISSF World Cup in China
Our young shooter Maksimilijan Žarić and his coach Sonja Benčina will travel to China on Sunday.
The ISSF World Cup in shooting will take place in Hangzhou from 20 to 29 July, one of the strongest competitions of this season, where the world's best shooters will compete.
Maksimiljan will represent Slovenia in two Olympic disciplines – the 10-metre air rifle and the 50-metre small-bore rifle. Participation in the World Cup represents a new important milestone in the career of our representative, who is increasingly establishing himself in the senior competition.
A member of the Olimpija Shooting Club has achieved a series of notable successes at home and internationally in recent seasons. At this year's European Championships in Osijek, he won the title of EUROPEAN RUNNER-UP, and prior to that, he has successfully represented Slovenia on several occasions at other junior European and World Championships. At international competitions, he has repeatedly reached the top of the standings and won medals, proving that he belongs among the most promising European shooters of his generation.
This season, he has also impressed at domestic shooting ranges, where he has won several national championship titles.
He continued his excellent performances in small-bore rifle disciplines, earning the trust of the leadership for his participation in the World Cup in Hangzhou.
He will be accompanied by his long-time coach Sonja Benčina in China.
