ISSF Junior World Championship in Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun
16–26 June 2026
The youth rifle and pistol shooting team, competing at 10, 25, and 50 metres, is currently in Suhl, Germany, representing Slovenia at the World Championships.
They performed with small-calibre and air weapons.
Today was the final competitive day for our contestants and it concluded brilliantly.
Eva Vodopivec, with her pistol at 25 metres, ensured that we could watch her in the final hall.
After qualifying, she was in an excellent 3rd place, and in the final, she achieved 7th place.
Manja Slak, our excellent shooter, competed with a 10m pistol. In a field of 89 shooters, she finished in 23rd place.
Lana Kužnik and Hana Strakušek competed in the 50m small-bore rifle category, finishing 39th and 42nd respectively in the qualifiers.
Gal Potrč finished 20th in the 50m rifle elimination, which also allowed him to enter the qualifications.
He finished in 48th place in the qualifiers.
With an air rifle at 10m, Lana Kužnik, Hana Strakušek, Patrik Cipot, Gal Potrč and Timotej Slak competed.
Lana Kužnik was 111th, and Hana Strakušek was 112th out of 138 competitors.
The men's junior team finished their first appearances at the World Championship very solidly.
Gal Potrč in 41st place, Patrik Cipot in 47th place, and Timotej Slak in 68th place out of 102 competing athletes.
The juniors won 11th place out of 20 teams.
