The Slovenian Rifle Association awarded prizes for sporting achievements of individuals and teams, prizes for organisational work and the prize for the most successful association at the “Rifleman of the Year” event in Gorenjska vas in the Sokol House.

The Shooting Federation awards for the best female and male shooters were presented to

Shooter: BOŠTJAN MAČEK, SD TRAP ŠTEFAN KOVAČ MURSKA SOBOTA
Boštjan won the National Trap Championships, bronze at the Slovenian Trap Cup and gold in the 1st league, 23rd place at the World Cup in Lonato, and an outstanding third place at the European Championships in Lonato, Italy.

Shooter: URŠKA KUHARIČ, SD KOVINAR ORMOŽ
Urška's air rifle scores were impressive. Bronze at the 1st National League Cup of Slovenia, 6th place at the National Air Rifle Championship, 3rd and 7th place at the Belgrade Grand Prix, 7th place at the International Youth Trophy, 20th place at the European Championships in Győr. With small calibre rifle she won two gold medals at the National Championships, 8th and 16th place at the ISSF World Cup in Baku, 11th place at the ISSF Final Qualification Tournament for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, 22nd place at the European Championships in Osijek. She also won the national championship with a crossbow.

Young woman: MANJA SLAK, SD GORENJA VAS
Manja shone with her air pistol, with a medal, almost everywhere she went. Gold at the Slovenia Cup - National Youth League, silver at the 1st National League, gold at the National Airgun Championships, 2nd place at the International Competition in Sarajevo, 2nd place at the European Championships in Győr, 2nd place at the ISSF World Youth Cup in Lima, 6th place at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, 9th place at the H&N Cup in Munich.

Junior: LUKA LUKIĆ, SD TRZIN
Luka won the following places with air rifle: Gold at the Slovenian Cup - National Youth League, 8th place at the 1st National League, 7th place at the National Air Rifle Championship, 6th place at the Belgrade Grand Prix. With small calibre rifle he won silver in triple position and 4th place in prone position at the National Championships.

Cadet: NIKA SKUBIC, SD KISOVEC
Nika was gold medallist at the National Air Weapons Championships, twice on the highest podium at the National Small Arms Championships, winner of her category at the Slovenia Cup - National Youth League, and also won silver in the International Air Weapons Competition in Sarajevo. With small calibre she was excellent 18th and 19th at the European Championships and 11th at the Grand Prix in Pilsen.

Cadet: MAKSIMILIJAN ŽARIĆ, SD OLYMPIA
Maksimilijan was the winner of his category at the National Championships of Slovenia as well as at the National Junior League Cup of Slovenia, and he also won gold at the National Small Arms Championships with air rifle. In an outstanding competition at the H&N Cup in Munich he came 12th, and at the International Competition he won gold and bronze.

Older girl: PIA MATEK, SD DUŠAN POŽENEL REČICA PRI LAŠKEM
Pia was the winner of the national championship in her category with air rifle, she won silver at the Slovenia Cup - National Youth League, and she also took home gold and silver at the national championship with small calibre weapons.

Older boy: MATJAŽ LIPOVŠEK, SD DUŠAN POŽENEL REČICA PRI LAŠKEM
Matjaž won the national championship with air weapons and the national youth league in his category, and also won gold at the national championship with small arms.
